It Was His Eyes

When Bob brought Lucky home he told me that at first he started to walk away from the woman holding the puppy. He wondered how I would feel about adding another dog to our family. He got halfway to the truck and turned slightly, looking over his shoulder. Lucky gave him a look with those sad, pleading eyes that he couldn't ignore, so Bob went back and got him. He figured I would probably be okay with it and, if I wasn't, we could re-home him. But at least he was saved for the moment. Of course, I fell in love with the little critter at first sight. He still uses that "look" on us to this day to get his way.
